More than seeing clearly

Understanding your
whole visual system.

Colourful letters marking the clinic therapy room

Vision therapy is a personalized program of activities designed to develop visual skills under an optometrist’s supervision.

Often compared to physiotherapy for the visual system, it looks beyond how clearly you see letters on a chart. An assessment explores skills such as focusing, eye teaming, and eye movements, alongside the challenges you experience in daily life.

We use your assessment findings and goals to determine whether vision therapy is appropriate for you and what a treatment plan could involve.

Different needs. Individual care.

Find your starting point.

Whether the concern comes up at school, at work, or during recovery, the first step is understanding it.

01 / CHILDREN & FAMILIES

Make room for
more comfortable learning.

For families concerned about uncomfortable reading or visual difficulties during schoolwork. An assessment can explore whether visual skills are contributing to your child’s challenges.

02 / ADULT VISION

Support for
everyday visual demands.

Discuss concerns such as eyestrain, focusing difficulties, or trouble using both eyes together. We also assess amblyopia and strabismus to explore suitable care options.

03 / CONCUSSION & SPORT

A thoughtful approach
to visual performance.

Assessment of visual concerns following concussion or brain injury, alongside your broader care. Sports vision training explores visual skills involved in athletic performance.

A few common questions

Before you get started.

Is vision therapy just for children?

No. We assess both children and adults. Recommendations depend on your visual findings, concerns, and goals.

Does an assessment mean I need therapy?

No. The assessment helps us understand your visual function and discuss appropriate options. Therapy is recommended only when considered suitable for your individual needs.

How long does a program take, and what does it cost?

Program recommendations vary. Our team will discuss the proposed schedule and fees before you commit. Please call with questions about assessment fees or insurance documentation.
